The demonstration of a comprehensive area development approach which addresses poverty and degraded natural resources simultaneously, and encourages alternate forms of livelihood, and enterprise development.
Training and HRD as a catalyst to the development process.
The preparation of a participatory base through the formation and development of community based organizations (i.e. SHGs, CLAs – Associated to 10-12 SHGs).
An emphasis on change through the partnership communities, NGOs, Governmental agencies and other relevant institutions in addressing developmental concerns.
DEVELOPMENT APPROACH
The RHBGMSS is working Natural Resource Management Programme , Joint Forest Management Programme and Sustainable Agriculture programme working in interior villages.
Interior villages are selected in order to implement the above programmes though participatory methods and involving the beneficiaries of below poverty line and poor productivity area.
The RHGBMSS initially approach the people and give different trainings, awareness camps and build up rapport for community organisaiton and formed village institutions in villages, based on this we have approached the people and introduced the concept of the programme.
At the entering of the villages we try to build up rapport with the people and collects data about their problems through PRA method. Based on this we introduced their basic needs and started the watershed projects / NRM programmes
